Utterly Blessed

Tara and Will feel utterly blessed to be able to call Ronald McDonald House home for the next few months.

“Nothing is ever too much trouble, we will be forever thankful,” said Tara.

Thanks to your generosity, Tara and Will were able to get the help they needed when their lives were turned upside down.

When Tara and Will’s son Weston was born, he was diagnosed with an incredibly rare disease and blood disorder. They had to fly immediately from their home in Inverell to John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

With only the belongings they were carrying, they lived out of a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for four days. When they first arrived in Newcastle they were thinking of nothing but their son, so the need for basic things, including accommodation was not on their minds.

Ronald McDonald House gave the family a home away from home so they could focus on what was important, Weston’s recovery.

“For our Family, Ronald McDonald House has been an absolute saviour,” said Tara.

With your help, Tara and Will were able to get a family unit at the House and have their other children join them so they can be together.

“We can close the door and try to forget our worries for a short time,” said Tara.

You are helping Tara, Will and their family get all their basic needs, so they can focus on Weston’s recovery. Thank you!
