Rhyan's Story

A Night to Remember

Rhyan has Cystic Fibrosis and has been in and out of hospital since he was six weeks old. Now 15 and a mad Roosters fan, Rhyan and his family were given the opportunity to attend the Roosters v Raiders game at Central Coast Stadium earlier this year.

This was thanks to our generous supporters Steggles Charity Nest and the Sydney Roosters. Together, they made sure this wasn’t just any game for Rhyan, as they pulled out all the stops to make the evening an unforgettable one.

Rhyan was asked to take the ball out onto the field at the start of the game, and was presented with an exclusive Indigenous players jersey signed on the night by Roosters players.

Rhyan is a young Dharawal and Awabakal man, and as the game was part of the NRL’s Indigenous Round, it meant a lot that he could attend.

“I had a great time, and really enjoyed meeting the players,” said Rhyan.
