Hearts for the House

A project for our community of crafty knitters and crocheters to help keep families close.

Your efforts can make a big impact

Would you like to be part of a heart-warming project for this year's Raise Love Ball? Help fill the room with a sea of red hearts - knitted or crocheted - and help make the Raise Love Charity Ball spectacular.

What we need

We need you to pull out your knitting needles and crochet hooks and create as many red hearts as you can. The hearts will be displayed during the event and be something our guests can touch and feel. We hope they'll feel the love that has gone into making the hearts; the same love that goes into everything our supporters do for the families that stay at Ronald McDonald House.

Be a part of this project to help Raise Love. Send your hearts to us by 1st July, 2023.

Get started

Pattern

We've selected a basic pattern for you to use, which can be accessed below.

Colour
Whether crocheted or knitted, the hearts need to be red in line with the decor of this year's Raise Love Ball. Here's a colour swatch to help you match your wool or yarn.

Size
As the hearts will be scattered around the tables like rose petals, they need to be quite small. Please make your hearts between 3-5 cm wide at the widest section.

Share the Love

Know someone who'd love to get involved? Please share the pattern with them. The more hearts, the better!

We'd love to see your hearts on social media too. Please share your progress photos and use the hashtag #rmhcnnsw

What to do with your finished hearts

Don't forget to post or deliver your finished hearts to RMHC NNSW, Andor Building, 9 Griffiths Road, New Lambton by 1st July 2023.

Thank you
