Help support me in RMHC® Ride for Sick Kids 2022

In April, six-year-old Aviana was diagnosed with high-risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and had to travel far from her Scone home to John Hunter Children’s hospital.

Ronald McDonald House has been her home ever since, with her dad Locky staying right by her side. While Avi’s mum, Nikki is keeping daily life going for her other children she regularly makes the two-hour commute to visit.

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness like Avi, it can have a devastating impact on families. As well as the uncertainty and fear, there’s added stress for families who don't live close to the medical care their child needs.

Help me raise much-needed funds through the Ride for Sick Kids 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️, with your efforts making an impact on the lives of children like Avi.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is 100% community-owned and operated, with every dollar making a big difference.

My Updates

Distance update #2

Tuesday 6th Sep
*sigh* Turns out that the Road Ride is 520km so I'll have to add another 20. That's seemingly hard looking at it from my current fitness levels!

Still, I'm just riding, not dealing with a serious injury or illness for my kids. I'm doing ok :)

Off again for another year :)

Friday 2nd Sep
Started riding again with a new goal for this year. Hoping to hit 500km and match the road riders (admittedly they do it in a week). Had to up my goal distance as I had 50km already logged by the time September started ...and that'd be cheating!
